The Livelihood Division aims to equip individuals with practical skills that enhance their economic stability and mental well-being. It focuses on five key areas:
Social Skills Training:
Many mental health challenges stem from a lack of social support and coping skills. MEF offers training in emotional intelligence, leadership, communication, and teamwork to help individuals build strong relationships and navigate life’s challenges.
Hands-on Skills Training:
We provide vocational training in fields such as carpentry, tailoring, ICT, welding, and early childhood education. These skills empower individuals to find employment or start small businesses, reducing the financial stress that contributes to mental health struggles.
Entrepreneurship & Financial Literacy:
MEF offers entrepreneurship training and financial literacy programs to help individuals manage their income, save effectively, and start small businesses. We also provide access to small business grants and mentorship.
Sustainable Agriculture & Climate-Smart Farming:
Recognizing the mental health benefits of farming, we train communities in sustainable agricultural practices. Our programs focus on urban gardening, climate-smart farming techniques, and agricultural-based livelihoods to promote food security and economic independence.
Market Access & Product Commercialization:
MEF supports artisans, farmers, and small business owners in accessing markets for their products. Through mentorship, branding assistance, and networking opportunities, we help individuals scale their businesses and reach wider audiences.
