Dr Sadat Katama is the Executive Director of Mind Embrace Foundation (MEF). He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBChB) degree from Mbarara University of Science and Technology and a Master of Medicine (Psychiatry) from Makerere University. His interests are in community mental health as well as forensic psychiatry. His background in medicine and specialization in psychiatry equip him with the expertise to lead MEF's initiatives focused on community transformation through mental health and social empowerment. He is passionate about helping those in need and seeing his local community of origin transform in education, health service access and improve all the social determinants of mental health.
